According to reports from Italian website Calciomercato, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has spoken about many things including former Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli. The Portuguese bosses’ previously made comments have followed the Italy international right through his career. However, this time around the Blues’ manager had far kinder words for his former player.
Mourinho said, “I hope Balotelli gets back to high levels, he tells me he can do it now, I saw him a few weeks ago and he’s learned, he has a great motivation. This is a guy who I respect and I hope that everything is fine with him.”
Balotelli was not linked with a move to Stamford Bridge during the summer and it was not clear why the former Real Madrid boss would even be interested in signing him, after his horrific season with the Reds. Honestly, the 25-year-old superstar had more flair after coming on for AC Milan as a substitute against Inter Milan during the derby, than what he had in the entire last term with the Merseyside club.
With a poor season with Brendan Rodgers’ side behind him now, Mourinho certainly hopes that the superstar striker can improve soon.
