Medical to be Completed Today After Chelsea and Juventus Agree Deal For a Midfielder

For weeks now, the Italian media has been covering stories about the interest of Serie A champions Juventus in Juan Cuadrado’s services, though nothing has materialized yet. This would have surely frustrated the Premier League champions, Chelsea, that though there have been talks, a deal has not been completed yet.

The Turin club have been keeping tabs on the Colombian international, but were trying their luck to sign targets like Mario Gotze or Julian Draxler first. However, if they failed to do so, they would then sign Cuadrado on a loan deal, which was more than a little arrogant on Juve’s part.

Despite that, the Italian outfit are now pushing for a deal, which could be a result of Jose Mourinho’s swiping comments toward manager Massimiliano Allegri, for talking about his players and the Blues’ renewed Paul Pogba interest.

Cuadrado could be part of a deal for the French international and Juventus director Marotta recently spoke to Calciomercato and said, “He comes with the formula of a loan, for a season. We will define the deal tomorrow morning. It’s a choice shared with the coach.”

The report further adds that a medical for the 27-year-old winger could be done by today, which could mean Cuadrado could be set to leave Stamford Bridge in the upcoming days.
