Brazilian Midfielder Set To Compete With Juan Mata At Manchester United

Brazilian midfield superstar Andreas Pereira came on during the U-20 World Cup final to score a brilliant individual goal for the national side and level the game against Serbia. The goal was so good that it was all over the social media and now the 19 year old superstar would be hopeful of some first-team football in the upcoming season, under manager Louis van Gaal.

Belgian newspaper Het Belang van Limburg last week stated that Pereira wanted to do what Lionel Messi once did, use the U-20 tournament to really launch his career.

On Monday another report followed, with comments made by the youngster after their loss in the finals. He said, “In a final only winning counts. So this is a big disappointment. More so because we were the better team. But we didn’t take our chances and Serbia were dangerous on the counter. But that’s football right?”

Pereira can now focus on things ahead, as he remains with the Red Devils, having signed a renewal with the Premier League giants, earlier this season.

Het Belang van Limburg spoke to Pereira’s father at regular intervals, so they may have an insight on things to come, though nothing is certain about the transfer market.
