Is Pellegrini’s Manchester City Job Safe Right Now?

Pellegrini, Mourinho

The morale at Manchester City is beginning to run fairly low now as they slowly watch the title slip out of sight when it was once all but a two race battle between Manchester and Chelsea a few weeks back.

Manchester City are now focusing on building a strong internal relationship with players and staff as they look onto next season to regroup and reignite the spark, which saw them dominate as one of the most feared English Premier League teams.

If Manchester City can manage to do so, then it would also do wonders for the coach as Manuel Pellegrini has come under a lot of scrutiny lately, such as being questioned whether or not he has had too many downs over the ups and whether or not he should be taking his business elsewhere after failing to guide Manchester City to their guidelines on countless circumstances.

Pellegrini is completely aware that sometimes clubs go through bad spells, but with a line-up of his teams sort, there is no room for improvement and so should perform much better than what they currently are doing and with that Pellegrini has certainly been pressured into defending his team and losses.

Salvation could come from Sergio Aguero next season if Manchester City can ward off potential buyers such as Real Madrid who are rumored to want to acquire his services. Manchester City should do all they can in order to keep him as he holds the key to their return as a dominating force in the English Premier League, because no one in the team posses his striking ability and tenacity to spot a chance when he sees one.

The end of the current season will see many talks being held and Pellegrini can only hope that those talks don’t involve the process of finding potential suiting managers for Manchester City. Whether or not this will be a likely happening will more than certainly weigh on where Manchester City finish on the table and their ending performance.

Those two outcomes will determine how Manchester City will go about their situation with the underperforming role of Pellegrini.
