Arsenal managed to grind out three points against Newcastle last night thanks to a goal from Olivier Giroud and a solid defensive performance.
Albeit their keeper Wojciech Szczesny had his moments in the game. Despite a good performance when called upon, the Polish International was very close to giving away an embarrassing goal to Yoan Gouffran in the closing stages of the game as his clearance hit the Newcastle player and went behind for a goal kick. The final minutes of the game saw the Magpies keeper darting forward in a hope to score from the corner, and here is a picture of both the goalkeepers going head to head.
