Recent reports are indicating that Manchester United are interested in the 24 year old Yevhen Konoplyanka from Dnipro. This £12 million man was also targeted by Liverpool but it now seems that Manchester United is in the pole position to secure the Ukrainian’s signature. However the question remains as to whether Manchester United really needs Yevhen Konoplyanka in their side or not. While most world class wingers will cost an arm and a leg the fact is that because Yevhen Konoplyanka plays for a club like Dnipro, he can be had for quite a cheap price. In fact it is believed that he can be bought from Dnipro for as little as £12 million. In world football that is as low as it gets for a quality winger and for £12 million it is definitely a gamble worth taking. With the money that Manchester United will save from this deal they can go all out in terms of money to replace the likes of Vidic, Ferdinand and the central midfield area.
