The last time Arsenal won the title, they did it without losing a single game in the whole season. The 2003-2004 invincibles will undoubtedly go down as the best team in the Premier League Era. However, since then it’s all gone a little quiet at the Emirates. The North London club only broke their trophy drought in May 2014, when they lifted the FA Cup, a trophy they last won in 2005.  Arsenal fans have started getting frustrated and Wenger knows that one more season without the league title, could spell the end of his tenure as an Arsenal manager. Here we look at the 10 things that have happened, since the last time Arsenal lifted the Premier League trophy.

Pep Guardiola

Since 2004, Pep Guardiola retired from professional football, went into management at Barcelona, where he won a total of 14 trophies before going on a yearlong break. He then joined Bayern Munich in 2013, where he won three successive Bundesliga titles. After three successful years in Germany, he decided to move to England and is now the coach of Manchester City.

I-phone invented

Before leaving us, Steve Jobs gave us the I-phone in 2007, the same year Thierry Henry left The Gunners to join Barcelona, marking the end of an era in Arsenal’s history. Since then I-phones have become a symbol progress but Arsenal seem to be still stuck.

Juventus

In 2006 the Italian Serie A was caught in a big match-fixing scandal called The Calciopoli.  A lot of clubs and referees were named in the racket but the hardest hit was received by Juventus. The Old Lady had won the title that year, following the revelation of the scandal, they were stripped of their title and were relegated to Serie B. Since then they have made a comeback to the top tier and have won it for an unprecedented 5 times.

One of the largest social networking sites Twitter was created in March 2006. Since then it had gained more than 500 million followers. Arsenal itself is one of the most followed football clubs in the world.

London Olympics

Since Arsenal won their last title, China has hosted the most expensive Olympics games ever. London won the rights host the games in 2012 and executed it very successfully. In a few hours, South America is going to host its first Olympics games.

Obama became the first black president of the United States of America in 2008. In 2012 he was re-elected for office. His most remarkable achievement was the successful mission conducted by Navy Seals to kill Osama Bin Laden. Chances are before Arsenal win their next Premier League trophy, the world is going to see the first woman president of America also.
