However, a deal could be negotiated in January, with the only doubt being that the two clubs value him at quite different amounts.

Liverpool are also thought to be interested in taking the Bayern Munich winger on loan, but as Liverpool aren’t in the Champions League this season, it gives them an advantage as he would be cup-tied for the Gunners, who will face the Bavarian giants in the last 16. Quick, hard working and skillful, the former FC Basel man has a very team player mentality and would fit into Arsenal without much of a problem.
