Arsenal ended the tie losing 3-1 to probably the best Bayern team of all time. The 1-1 draw last night, epitomises nothing more than Arsenal’s desire to go beyond the Germans, but Bayern were simply unstoppable. Given the fact that Arsenal were without their first choice left backs, it has to be said it was a decent performances from the Gunners. Podolski and Ox were impressive from the word go and have certainly made a point to Wenger.
So with the Premier League looking tougher more than anything, Arsenal’s glimmer hope of picking up a silverware lies solely on the FA Cup.
