3 Youngsters Who Could Make A Debut Under Jose Mourinho At Manchester United Next Season

Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United chapter has been finished as the club announced that the Dutchman has been sacked. It was a huge disappointment to see a failure of one of the most successful managers in the world.

While some section of the crowd is enjoying the news, yet there are many who feel sorry for the Dutch gaffer. Yes, Manchester United became one of the worst side in the English football and their ‘Boring’ brand of football was bruising the fans. But, van Gaal did what he could. Injuries affected the performances of the squad, but the supporters saw the emergence of several youngsters who will play a major role for the years to come.

Players like Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Borthwick-Jackson and Fosu-Mensah will continue his legacy at Old Trafford.

It is heavily reported that the ex- Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will be taking the reins of Manchester United next season, and for that also, United fans have a mixed feeling. The reason is very clear; he can surely assure the positive results, but it is expected that the young players will lose their position from the first squad.

Although the senior team failed badly, the U-21 side did them a favour by bringing the silverware to Old Trafford as they won their Barclays Under-21 Premier League trophy. Many of the academy graduates are all set for their senior challenge, and here we bring you 3 names who could make a debut for Manchester United next season-

  1. Axel Tuanzebe-

The U-18 player of the year for Manchester United in 2015, has been an imposing figure for the U-21 side last season. Manchester United had a promising defence under Louis van Gaal, but the side will be needing a real center back pairing to release the burden from Daley Blind’s shoulder. He cannot make an immediate impact in the first team, but if given the proper exposure, the 18 year old can partner up with Smalling in the rest of the domestic fixtures (FA cup, Carling Cup).

He is often compared to Manchester United’s legend Rio Ferdinand, and is also a great ball playing defender, the ability we saw in Toby Alderweireld last season. He captained Manchester United’s U-18 squad and was a wonder to watch. He is capable of making physical challenges, and is never afraid of making a forward run in a counter attack.

  1. Ashley Fletcher-

The 20-year old Englsih striker was sent on loan to Barnsley last season, and the young lad will be returning to the Old Trafford with a lot of optimism. Fletcher scored 7 goals in his 23 appearances for Burnely, and after that emphatic season, he will be confident of breaking into the first team squad just like his teammate Marcus Rashford.

He has got the tricky legs and is capable of beating the defenders, and he has done this all season long with Barnsley. Fletcher is surely not the player who will lead the attacking lines for the club, but he is capable of making a great impact in the game.

  1. Devonte Redmond-

Devonte Redmond is still an unknown figure at Old Trafford, but the 19 year old has had his positive impact on U-18 and U-21 sides in the past. The Manchester born lad is capable of operating the game from both wings, and possesses a blistering pace.

Redmond is more of a playmaker rather than a scorer. He is a typical winger like Ryan Giggs who loves to hug the touchline to deliver excellent crosses. He can be a very useful asset for the squad in the domestic competition in the up coming season.
