Everyone in life deserves a second chance, especially to right some wrongs. Premier League clubs spend a ton of money signing players but sometimes things don’t work out and the transfers seem like mistakes more than anything else. However, these professionals can work hard and try to fix their reputation next season. We look at 3 players who were brought in to turn the tide last season but failed to do so, hopefully they can turn it around and do better this season as they get more accustomed to the Premier League and hopefully to their role in the team.
1. Angel Di Maria
The costliest purchase in the summer, Angel Di Maria actually had a great start to his Manchester United career, but that disappeared as fast as food at a table. Di Maria seemed disinterested for most part of the season and he was also dropped from the starting XI for Manchester United. It might have seemed that he was at the club only as a last resort since he had burned bridges at Real Madrid. Fortunately for the talented winger, he could have a second season at Manchester United and hopefully he could play a more important role as Manchester United look to strengthen their team and play in the Champions League next season or Di Maria could be off in the winter transfer window.
