3 Top jobs this Champions League legend could look to land after his break including Chelsea

The Era is done. Zinedine Zidane gloriously led Madrid for close to three years – culminating in three Champions League titles on the trot. He also won a La Liga and a Club World Cup in addition to the Spanish Super Cup. 8 titles in two-and-a-half-year means that Zidane will leave Madrid as a bonafide legend.

Once he is back from his break, there should be no dearth of offers for the legendary Frenchman. Here are three jobs that would be perfect for Zidane.

The French National Team

Zidane’s ex-colleague Didier Deschamps is in charge of the French National Team at this year’s World Cup and should they fail to meet expectations, the time could be right for Deschamps to move.

This would mean that the stage could be set for the ultimate prize – Zidane leading France to international glory and completing his set of awards, both domestically and on the international stage.

France have one of their most talented squads in recent history and a manager such as Zidane could galvanise them. Most of the players grew up watching Zizou in his prime and will be willing to go that extra mile for their hero.

Juventus

Another team that could push for European glory with Zidane at the helm is Juventus. Zidane is a legend at the Turin-based club and he could get the players to push them to win the title again.

Juventus are pretty much sorted domestically, having won the last five Scudettos but the Champions League remains their biggest challenge.

Zidane can sort their problems out and get them to play a brand of football that would suit their players. Also, he can help them get past the final hurdle of the Champions League, which would cement his legacy as one of the greatest managers of the modern era.

Chelsea

With lots of speculation surrounding Antonio Conte’s future at Stamford Bridge, coupled with Blues owner Roman Abrahomovic’s affinity to wield the managerial axe without showing any mercy, Zidane could be the perfect candidate for the London club.

Chelsea are coming off the back of a lacklustre Premier League campaign as they missed out on a Champions League spot by finishing 5th in the table. As a result, Chelsea could struggle to attract top talents this summer but Zidane could be the answer to that.

However, knowing how Chelsea operate could put Zidane off. Abrahamovic will need to let his purse strings loose and give the Frenchman his independence so that he can manage with freedom.
