Arsenal are pretty close to the top of the Premier League, the 3-0 victory over Manchester United elevated the Gunners up to second in the table, just a couple of points behind Manchester City. Arsenal, in fact, defeated their closest rivals in the table and were miles better than United at the Emirates and with a season that is so unpredictable, the Gunners do have a real good chance of winning the league title, their first since 2004.
Manchester City, Manchester United and a few others are still in contention and would have a say in the run up to the league title but Arsene Wenger, after another season of not winning the title would be hopeful of his team playing with the same passion and ability in every game, similar to the performance against Manchester United, from now till the end of the season.
With progression in the Champions League looking dicey, the Premier League could be the major competition the Gunners could be paying attention to and we list out three things that Arsene Wenger has to do to ensure they get the title.
- Keeping his players fit
It doesn’t take a genius to state this but the number of injuries Arsenal’s players have suffered over the past few seasons has been extraordinary. Even if we take away the number of injuries Abou Diaby suffered at the club, Wilshere, Cazorla, Arteta, Flamini, Debuchy, Giroud, all have had to deal with long term injuries which has affected the team.
Although every player cannot play each game but bench strength is affected a lot and Arsenal do need quality, especially this season when every team can beat any team in the league. Wilshere has suffered a long term injury but should come back sooner and Arsene will be working overtime to ensure his Gunners stay as fit as possible till the end of the season.
