3 Super Reasons Why This Manchester United Midfielder Should Move To Everton In The Upcoming Transfer Window

Morgan Schneiderlin

Manchester United finally seem to be getting back on track after winning their last two games. Prior to that, Jose Mourinho’s men had drawn 3 games in a row and the signs were looking ominous for The Red Devils. But Mourinho finally seems to have gotten it right with his selections. The Portuguese manager is known for racking up storms with players at whichever club he manages. When Mou doesn’t fancy a player, he makes sure the player knows about it and also expresses the same with his selections.

One such player who has had to bear a similar brunt to that is Frenchman Morgan Schniederlin. He has been an ever-present in English football now, having moved to Southampton at the tender age of 18 in 2008. At Southampton, he performed ably through the seasons as The Saints climbed up from League 1 to the Premier League with the Frenchman’s help.

Louis Van Gaal opted to sign Morgan in the summer of 2015, but so far, the Frenchman hasn’t done much to justify that price tag. He was a regular starter under Louis Van Gaal as the Dutchman liked his style of play, but the same cannot be said of what Mourinho thinks of him, as Morgan has played just 8 times this season. Only 3 of those appearances have come in the league and none of them have been starts. Quite a fall from grace for a player that was making the headlines with his former club.

The January transfer window might come as a much-needed rescue mission for the Frenchman, whose confidence will be quite low following Mourinho’s treatment of him. But much to his pleasure, the Portuguese manager has recently come out and said that he won’t stand in the way of a transfer if a suitable offer comes in.

That suitable offer is supposedly coming in from the direction of Goodison Park, where Schneiderlin’s former manager at Southampton Ronald Koeman is the head coach. Reuniting with a manager with whom he had some success with, will definitely appeal to Morgan Schneiderlin and we are firmly of the belief that he must make the move to the Blue side of Merseyside in order to get his career back on track.

Here are three reasons why Morgan Schniederlin must choose Everton as the next destination in his career –

Glorious reunion with his former manager

If he chooses to move to Everton, he would again come under the vigil eyes of Ronald Koeman. Although the Dutchman managed him only for a year with The Saints, they built up a formidable relationship and will look to build that further if Schniederlin does make the move. Koeman is already well aware of Schneiderlin’s qualities and will make use of that to the fullest in Everton’s midfield. Schniederlin enjoyed his time under Koeman and wasn’t just restricted to a defensive midfield role, instead, he was allowed to roam free and play as a box-to-box midfielder, something Schneiderlin clearly loves doing.

Able replacement/nemesis for Gareth Barry

With Gareth Barry currently aged 35, he might not have much left in his wary legs. For years, Barry has been a great servant to English football, but his career might be coming to an end soon. He has shown great longevity so far to still be playing in the top tier and with a top team like Everton, but it looks more and more likely as if it will come to an end. Schneiderlin would provide an able competition to the likes of Barry, Idrissa Gueye and James Mccarthy in midfield. Everton have looked leggy in midfield off late and with Morgan still only 27, he will have a lot of sap left in him to pull the strings in midfield.

Perfect club for Schniederlin

Everton are quite a star-studded line-up these days, so Schniderlin should have no qualms in making the move to Goodison Park. His time at Old Trafford has been marred off late and moving to Everton, where he would get the chance to shine along with top players like Romelu Lukaku, Yannick Bolasie, Kevin Mirallas, would be a perfect thing to do. Everton are also known for playing good football, with Koeman putting a lot of emphasis on good passing and creating goal-scoring opportunities for the front men. Schniederlin would definitely enjoy playing such a brand of exciting football.
