Karim Benzema

Benzema, 27, has been constantly linked with a move to Arsenal for a few seasons. Moreover, the Arsenal boss is believed to be a long-term admirer of the player. His current employers, Real Madrid, don’t seem to like the thought of selling Benzema because of a shortage of players in that position but having said that, things could change drastically.

The french striker enjoyed a successful 2014/15 season by scoring 22 goals in all competitions. This is the sort of quality Arsenal would want to add to their striking department. Benzema’s arrival would signal further strength in depth in a strike force already consisting of Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck.

Usually, French players love to work with Arsene Wenger and Benzema can potentially even form a formidable partnership with his fellow international teammate Olivier Giroud.

Alexandre Lacazette

Olympique Lyonnais surprisingly made the headlines last season and rightly so, as the French Giants enjoyed a very encouraging campaign with a relatively young bunch of players. Leading this team from the front was Alexandre Lacazette. The striker had a great season as he was the top scorer after scoring 27 goals in 33 games. He was also awarded the “Player of the season” award.

Lacazette has been linked with a move away from Lyon throughout this summer with the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and PSG reportedly interested in his services. He signed a one year contract extension recently but chances are he’ll still accept a move if a suitable offer is made.

Lacazette would provide pace, technique and some much needed ability to finish the chances created by Arsenal’s marvelous midfield.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Earlier in the window, Aubameyang was continuously linked with a move to Arsenal. The London club were rumoured to have made initial contact for acquiring the Gabon international. Aubameyang was the shining light in a season which could very well be termed “disastrous” considering Dortmunds usual standards.

The forward scored some crucial goals in helping the the German club climb the table after a horrible start.
Aubameyang scored a total of 25 goals last season and for that he was rewarded with a new contract with a substantial rise in wage which the player could not refuse. An Arsenal offer could still change things as the chance to play in England doesn’t come everyday.
Aubameyang would certainly add blistering pace to Arsenal’s frontline as he is widely reported to be the fastest football player in the world.
