Three Signings West Ham Can Make This Summer
Slaven Bilic’s Hammers have come a long way from their days as perennial underachievers. Last season may not have been ideal for West Ham United, after losing their best player Dimitri Payet and struggling all season. The giant killers slacked a bit under Bilic in 2016/17 but the Croat boss will surely be looking to change things up going into next season, with fresh blood and fresh ideas in.
Three suggested players for the Hammers in this transfer window are a formidable trio. Bilic is surely looking to add much more quality and make that push for a Europa League spot.
With Joe Hart’s future uncertain at Manchester City, he will in all likelihood not be playing for them next season. Tt seems like a move is surely on the cards. West Ham can sign him either permanently or on loan and he will add some top class assurance in goal for the London club. Despite criticisms, Hart is a player of high quality and on his day can be a goliath in goal. If West Ham do secure his services, Bilic will have a world-class goalkeeper as his number one.
Giroud’s lack of game time at Arsenal could be pivotal in West Ham’s efforts to sign the French striker. Giroud again has flattered to deceive at times but would be a definite upgrade on Andy Carrol. His aerial threat and good feet will surely give a great focal point for West Ham to build their attacks. Arsenal are looking for a new striker and Giroud could become available this summer.
After all the furore behind Victor Lindelof’s signing at Manchester United, it’s apparent now that Jose Mourinho has lost faith in Chris Smalling and is looking to offload him. West Ham are interested and he could add a solid foundation for Slaven Bilic’s defence. The 27-year-old has struggled and makes costly errors at times but Bilic could get the best out of him.
All three signings would add considerable quality and be immensely helpful for West Ham and should they sign these three players, they could push for a higher finish in the league under Slaven Bilic.
