3 Reasons Why Cavani To Manchester United Is A Bad Idea

3. No Champions League football

While Manchester United would in an ideal world want to bring the big Uruguayan to Old Trafford and build a new team around him, taking him there right now is a bigger challenge simply due to one fact- there is likely to be no Champions League football next season.

United are currently in seventh place, three points off sixth placed Tottenham and twelve points off fourth placed Manchester City who have one game in hand over United. With only ten games to go, it will take nothing short of a miracle for United to qualify for the Champions League.

There is no chance that Cavani, a player approaching his prime and regarded as one of the best strikers in the world, would decide to waste one year at United without the opportunity to play in Europe’s elite club competition.
