3 Reasons Why Arsenal Can Win The League Next Season

Arsenal lead the form guide in the Premier League at the moment, having won their last 6 games, in fact they have also won the last 6 games at home. They dismantled a Liverpool team recently and seem set to finish 2nd in the table, a far cry from the regular 4th position that they seem to have made theirs in recent years.

Arsenal for once look a proper, fit unit, their defence is good, their midfield is ticking well and their attack is brilliant, almost everything seems to be clicking in place for them come the fag end of the season.

Their recent spate of wins has seen them move up to 2nd in the table and had they started the season in this fashion, who knows, maybe they could have been one place higher at this point of time. There still is hope for Arsenal and we provide 3 reasons why they Gunners could be genuine contenders for the title next season.

The attack is finally clicking

Arsenal have a wealth of talent in the attacking third and that is finally starting to pay dividends. It isn’t about scoring the prettiest goal but rather the onus is on scoring goals and scoring plenty of them. Ozil, Welbeck, Sanchez, Giroud and Walcott, to name a few have been playing really well and no matter who is brought into the team they still seem to do a job for the team. Arsene would have to maintain his squad this well for the entire length of the season and if he can do it, they could win the league title.

Arsene knows which areas to strengthen

The surprising thing is that Arsene Wenger finally is spending the money on areas where the team needs help. He brought in Welbeck when the team did not have enough quality strikers, maybe the deal did not work out as well as Arsenal hoped but that was a sign. He did get Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil as well breaking the bank and then in the January window he bought Paulista to help out in defence. If Arsenal do sign a central defender and a defensive midfielder in the next transfer window, they could be in for a shot of the title.

Youth and experience

A few seasons back the reason for Arsenal’s title charge petering out was their lack of experience, but that has changed now. They have players who have had experience not only on the field but in the Premier League. Walcott can be considered as a veteran now, Welbeck also has played a few seasons in the Premier League and these players can help new joinees and young players to get accustomed to the league and play well in the team. This team now has youngsters like Coquelin coming into the side and looking like a Premier League veteran and not a youngster.
