Antonio Conte is expected to be one of the busiest managers in the transfer window at the end of the season as his Chelsea side need some additions to their squad to be able to compete with the best in Europe next season. Of the many stars who have been linked with a move to the Stamford Bridge, AS Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko is one player who has been creating a lot of buzz among the Chelsea faithful. According to recent reports, Bakayoko is at the top of the wish list for the Italian manager at the Bridge with some claiming that he has already opened talks with the 22-year old for a move this summer.

His age:
Obviously one of the most attractive attributes of Bakayoko is his age. At just 22, he has represented the French national team at all stages up to the U21 level and is not far away from a place in the senior side. He has 81 appearances already in the top flight of French football and is easily one of the most exciting youngsters on display in Europe. He has 41 appearances in all competitions this season for Monaco and is slowly growing in stature. He will only get better with age and if he moves to Chelsea, he will be under the wing of one of the best coaches which will make him better as a player. All of this can possibly start this summer.
All French midfield:
Conte has used the likes of Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas alongside the N’Golo Kante in the midfield this season but neither of them have been able to convince the manager about their abilities to partner Kante. Conte would be keen on spending on a midfielder this summer and Bakayoko is an excellent option in many ways. His time with Kante in the French national team will allow the duo to form a partnership that could turn out to be the best in the league and can help Chelsea compete with the best in Europe. Strong in the air and energetic like Kante, Bakayoko will not take too much time to settle down at Stamford Bridge and hence, he is a great option.
His playing style:
Last, but probably the most important reason for Chelsea to spend on Bakayoko is his playing style. Similar to that of Kante, Bakayoko is an energetic midfielder who loves to cover ground to help his team out. He is a defensive minded player but the 22-year old has three goals and an assist to his name. However, he is expected to play second fiddle to the former Leicester City man in Chelsea’s midfield. He is strong in the air and is also an excellent dribbler. These two things that will make his life easy in England and there are very few players available with such attributes in the transfer market this summer. He is a disciplined player and has plenty of passion and the potential to turn into one of the favorites for the manager in no time. Surely, Bakayoko and his style would be a perfect fit for Chelsea.
