3 Reasons Why This Italian International Should Prefer A Move To Tottenham Over West Ham United

Jan Vertonghen:

Tottenham Hotspur were dealt a blow after it was revealed that star defender Jan Vertonghen picked up an injury that rules him out of the game for upto two months. Eric Dier is expected to deputize at the moment but Pochettino is desperate for a center back who can help them in their title charge and Ranocchia might be a super choice.

At 28, the Italian defender has plenty of experience with club and country and should easily gel with the first team at the club. He has all the attributes that will make him a successful defender in the Premier League and the Spurs side might also be interested in a loan move which might result in a permanent one if he impresses the manager at the helm

Season targets:

But most importantly, and quite obviously, the difference in the targets for the current season for both clubs should play into the hands of Tottenham Hotspur. Pochettino’s side are currently 9 points off Chelsea at the top of the table and are looking for a place in the Champions League as a bare minimum come the end of the season. West Ham, on the other end, are currently happy that they are nowhere close to the relegation zone and are hoping to get into the top half of the table, let alone a place in Europe. Though both teams can offer their own reasons, Ranocchia is surely better of fighting for the title than a place in the first half of the points table.
