3 Reasons Why This Italian International Should Prefer A Move To Tottenham Over West Ham United

The Premier League is home to some of the best talents in world football and it does not come as a surprise that a number of star players are attracted to the clubs in the domestic league in England. Recent reports suggest that Premier League clubs West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur are set to be involved in a race for the signature of Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia this January. The 28-year old might cost around the £5m mark and both clubs are trying their best to lure him out of Italy before the deadline day. The representative of the player has been in England for a couple of days, trying to resolve the issue and with Inter Milan also ready to listen to loan offers till the end of the season, he seems to be a better option for Spurs rather than he is for West Ham and here are three reasons why:

Jose Fonte:

West Ham United have a few issues at the back which need to be solved and Slaven Bilic was expected to be busy in the transfer market, spending on defenders. However, he has already found a gem in Jose Fonte of Southampton and looks set to use the Portuguese as his first choice alongside Winston Reid for the rest of the season. Angelo Ogbonna and James Collins are backups which make the West Ham squad strong at the back. This leaves Ranocchia with no real place at the Olympic Stadium this season.
