3 Reasons Why Chelsea Fans Should Avoid This Worthless Rumour

 Aguero

According to some fresh rumours emerging from Italian site TuttoMercato, Premier League Giants Chelsea are looking to challenge last season’s Champions League Winners Bayern Munich for the signing of Manchester City’s star striker Sergio Aguero. The Argentine who has been in red hot form since joining the Premier League from Spanish side Athletico Madrid has attracted interested worldwide from the major clubs across Europe.

However Manchester City have a contract with Aguero till 2017 and it’s highly unlikely that the ‘Noisy Neghbours’ would want to sell their star man to a direct Championship Rival. The Blues from London are willing to splash the cash going for as much as €50m (according to the same report).

Bayern Munich are also on the look out for a striker who can fit their bill and can score at will, thus making Aguero the perfect fit. Another team who are also in the news and have shown interest in the Argentine is the nouveau rich A.S Monaco from France. They shocked the entire Football Fraternity when they acquired Falcao, James Rodriguez and Joao Moutinho sending waves in the transfer market.

However coming to our discussion, on whether Aguero would be the perfect fit, I am sure the topic is much more a fancy wonder thought rather than reality. A striker of Aguero’s poise and brilliance on the ball would fit the bill for any team, more for Chelsea as they are on the hunt for a striker in the January Transfer Window. But I would discuss here on why Chelsea shouldn’t go after Aguero.

It’s more of a City selling their Major Striker rather than Chelsea breaking the bank for signing the Argentine:

No one would want to sell their most prized player to a direct rival. So even if Chelsea do offer a whopping fee, Manchester City will certainly reject it, rather than sell.   Moreover Manuel Pellegrini’s side are now on the rise, gelling well as a team, a testament of their 7-0 thrashing of Norwich in the weekend and humbling a decent CSKA Moscow side scoring five, with Negredo getting a hattrick and Aguero with another brace. Thus Pellegrini surely won’t be naive to sell his prized possession.

Recent Form of Fernando Torres:

Even though the Sapniard’s glorious years are behind him, the player still lurks inside Fernando Torres what he used to be at Liverpool. He has occasionally shown signs of absolute brilliance however with the one odd glaring miss, which any striker of his quality would eat night in and out. Come January Chelsea are sure to buy a striker, but given Torres’ resurgence, Aguero would seem a piece who needs to fitted in the system, rather than fit to the system.

History:

Everyone knows the aftermath of Torres joining Liverpool on what happened to the Spaniard. No one wants that to happen to any player, certainly not Aguero.
