3 reasons why Alexandre Lacazette is the best option for Arsenal

With Arsenal having signed a young player in Takuma Asano, the Gunners might have solved their problem of strikers for next season or even post that but currently the London club only have Olivier Giroud as their sole “world class” striker and that might be a problem for the Premier League side next season as they look to make it big in the league.

The Gunners have not won the league for more than a decade and need to get the Premier League trophy back in London but one region where they still are struggling is the forward line. The Gunners did bring in Granit Xhaka for the midfield and they could be looking for a top striker to give some proper competition to the French striker, Giroud, this season.

One player who has been linked a number of times with a move to Arsenal is Alexandre Lacazette and with so many strikers on the move in the world of football, Arsenal should be smart and sign the Lyon striker as soon as possible.

Lacazette might not be the top name in the world at the moment but he surely is one of the best and here are three reasons why he is the best option for the Gunners.

Deadly in front of goal

Alexandre Lacazette might be a bit of a moody individual with his standoff against Lyon coming to an end last season but you cannot deny the fact that he is one of the deadliest strikers in the world and if he gets a sniff in front of goal, he will score.

The 25-year-old has scored 54 goals in the last two seasons for Lyon and even won the Ligue 1 top scorer of the year award in 2014-15. He might not be playing for the best team in France but consistently scoring goals is an art and Lacazette is the perfect artiste for that.

Passing is excellent

One of the points that people forget about Lacazette is his all-around game. He isn’t someone who just scores a ton of goals but he assists his teammates and is known for his quick and incisive passing which would be an added bonus for Arsenal.

Olivier Giroud and countless other strikers don’t have the passing ability that Lacazette possesses and his almost 80% passing accuracy will surely be great for the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil this season, if the Gunners do sign him up.

Movement will suit Arsenal’s play

The French striker is also known for his movement and even though he plays as a central striker, he does drift out wide which should help the other Arsenal players take up better scoring positions.

The 25-year-old is known for his dribbling ability as well and that would certainly come in hand at Arsenal next season. He wouldn’t be the cheapest option out there but one thing is a surety, if he does sign with the Gunners, it would give them a great chance of winning the league title and he is one of the perfect options for the London club next time around.
