3 quality players Wilder must sign to boost Sheffield United’s promotion hopes including this Chelsea prodigy

Three players Sheffield United must sign to boost their promotion hopes

Sheffield United have made a blistering start to the new season, winning six out of 10 games and are currently placed fourth in the Championship table.

The Blades, who have had an excellent first season back in the second tier under Chris Wilder, made a few additions this summer and are now firing on all cylinders this term.

For sure, Chris Wilder has to be given a massive deal of credit for his role in the progress United have made and if they can keep picking up points at a regular rate, who knows where they could end up.

The winter transfer window could be crucial in United’s chase for promotion as Wilder still needs a few more players to complete his squad. That being said, here are three players Wilder must sign to boost United’s promotion hopes.

Callum Hudson-Odoi (Chelsea)

Callum Hudson-Odoi made a stellar impact during Chelsea’s pre-season under Maurizio Sarri. The teenager dished out some impressive displays.

However, Hudson-Odoi has not got any minutes under his banner after the Community Shield game against Manchester City. Chances of regular game time for the teenage sensation looks bleak this season and the best he could do for himself is to go out on loan in January.

Sheffield United must definitely make a loan move for Hudson-Odoi, who would add so much energy and pace to the Blades’ attack.

Charlie Adam (Stoke City)

Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam is 32 and has entered the latter stages of his career now. He is a top professional who has a peach of a left foot and is capable of playing any role in the midfield. He would bring a wealth of experience to United.

Adam is not quite as young as he once was and is definitely past his prime, but the Scotland international’s experience and quality would make him a good addition to Wilder’s side in January.

He would be quite a coup for Sheffield United, as the former Liverpool man is an excellent passer of the ball.

Oleksandr Zinchenko (Manchester City)

Oleksandr Zinchenko has played just once for Manchester City in the Premier League this season and he could certainly boost his chances of getting regular game time by moving out on loan in January.

Should Zinchenko decide to leave on loan, Sheffield United must make a move for him in January. Known for going on mazy runs, the young Ukrainian would add some steel to the United midfield. His versatility would also be of big help for Wilder.

Zinchenko really looks a class talent and would add extra quality to United’s ranks, which would boost their promotion hopes.
