Transfers are like lottery tickets, you know you could make it big but there is a slim chance of you actually achieving it. Every club who wants to do well has to buy some players, teams often get it right by spending the big bucks but even those aren’t guaranteed to do well. The Premier League attracts the best players in the world, at least many of them. Each club tries their best to get the optimal players for the team and with a new season on the horizon, we look at three players who could star in the Premier League this season.

Jordy Clasie

The 24-year-old Dutch international slipped under the radar of a lot of top clubs. The surprise isn’t that he decided to play in the Premier League but he was signed by Southampton. To be honest, Ronald Koeman had worked with Clasie at Feyenoord and that could have worked in his favour as he seems to have snapped up one of the best players from the Dutch league. Clasie could star in midfield and has been brought in to replace Morgan Schneiderlin, the Frenchman might have joined Manchester United but Clasie could provide some class in the midfield for Southampton.

Andre Ayew

A lot has been expected from Andre Ayew for the upcoming season

Another surprising signing, Ayew had spent around 10 years playing for Marseille, one of France’s biggest clubs and since his contract ran out this season, he decided to leave the French club for sunnier shores. He was expected to join one of the bigger sides in Europe but he skipped a chance to play for a team in a European competition to sign for Swansea City. The 25-year-old is one of the best attackers from the French League and will be looking to give Swansea a shot in the arm, especially since the Welsh club lost Wilfried Bony to Manchester City.

Georginio Wijnaldum

Can Georginio Wijnaldum recreate his PSV magic at Newcastle?

Wijnaldum would be known to most Dutch league followers, another player who has great potential and could turn into a world class player soon, the 24-year-old could have played for one of the biggest clubs in Europe but signed for Steve McClaren’s Newcastle United and this could be the deal of the Premier League. McClaren spent a few years managing in Holland and it seems he knows how to pick a good player. The midfielder is talented and surely will grow more with his experience of playing in the White and Black of Newcastle United.
