A centre half has to be the major priority for the Red Devils after losing Nemanja Vidic to Inter Milan and Rio Ferdinand at the end of last season.
While the Thomas Vermaelen rumours have died down over the past few weeks, it is believed that van Gaal’s persuasion powers can bring De Vrij to Old Trafford. The 22-year-old young, talented and gifted defender with his front foot defending defender is a potential long term centre back for the Old Trafford outfit.
