The Arsenal captain hasn’t really played a lot this season and although he is one of the better players in the club, he isn’t really a lynchpin for the club. Arsenal seem to have found a better pair in midfield with Coquelin and Cazorla taking care of all comers. Arteta isn’t young either and his injury-plagued season is not guarantee about his fitness, he does have a contract till the end of next season but Arsenal should be looking to replace the Spanish midfielder at the end of this season rather than keep him in the squad and lose out on some cash for next season.
