3 Players Conte Might Sell After Taking Over At Chelsea This Summer

Antonio Conte recently hinted that he’d like to work in the day-to-day life of a club where he can experience several things and it was inevitable that he was probably heading to the premier league and Conte is trusted upon to stabilise Chelsea and get their tattered reputation to the top again by winning silverware with them. The early days of April, Chelsea put an end to the rumour circle by announcing that the well renowned Italian, Antonio Conte will lead them as a the head coach for the next season of the English Premier League.

The current Italian National team’s coach came into the frame with his success at the Bionconeri. He won three Serie A titles straight with Juventus between the years of 2011-2014 and this was their only consecutive title wins since 1930. Antonio Conte brought in stars like Pogba, Pirlo and Carlos Tevez in his stint at Juventus and if this was not enough, the Italian won manager of the year all the 3 seasons he was there.

While a manager enters, The fans automatically ponder upon the players the manager will sign but on the other hand, there are always going to be some players who will depart the club and that can be due to several factors as well and hence I take a look at three players who Antonio Conte should sell before he proceeds to acquire his targets.

1) Oscar-

At the age of 24, Oscar has still a lot of offer but things have certainly reached a stagnation point for him. Although he’s made 25 appearances for Chelsea this season, Oscar has hardly been impressive at all and he has scored just 3 goals and has created a mere 29 chances in all.

The rumours were strong in the January Transfer window that the Chinese clubs were approaching Oscar and trying to lure him taking advantage of the situation and clearly if the contribution is less, then the player certainly becomes a liability in terms of wages and hence if Antonio Conte is planning to spend large, he has to make way both in terms of space for the player and in terms of revenue and hence considering everything, Oscar should be one player who Conte should sell.

2) Loic Remy-

Chelsea have an overload of strikers anyway with names like Diego Costa, Radamel Falcao and Alexandre Pato competing for the position of a striker, I guess it’s time that Loic Remy leaves Chelsea probably for his own good. Remy has been really disappointing in the only 13 appearances he’s made this season and once or twice missing crucial chances, he’s not very hugely admired by the faithful either and hence another player who’s a liability in terms of money and I guess Remy should be at the top of the “ selling “ List.

3) John Obi Mikel-

John Obi Mikel’s spell at Chelsea goes over a decade and in over 350 appearances Mikel has made for the club, Mikel has never been a highly rated performer and even the likes of Essien or Ramires overshadowed him in this case. Although his resurgence under Guus Hiddink is seen, I doubt John Obi Mikel will really establish his name in this squad under Conte and keeping in mind that Chelsea do need a midfielder, I guess, since Ramires has already departed, it will be Mikel who’ll make way for an incoming player. It’s pretty evident in my opinion.
