3 Perfect Destinations For Mourinho’s Nemesis To Move This Summer Including Everton And His Former Club

Mourinho

Ever since Jose Mourinho has been confirmed as the manager of Manchester United, many players from the current squad are rumoured to be sold out. The Portuguese tactician has done a great job so far as he has acquired the signature of three world-class players, namely, Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan and in the press conference, the 53-year-old revealed that he will sign four players in order to shape the squad according to his plans and many believe that the Old Trafford outfit is ready to cash a humungous amount to sign their former midfielder, Paul Pogba.

It is sure that Jose will sign a midfielder or we can say a playmaker and this would endanger the future of several players in the current squad. Michael Carrick has signed a new one-year-deal with the club and besides him, Schneiderlin is supposed to play a major holding role for the boss. It is very clear that Rooney won’t be serving in the central midfield, therefore, an attacking position for him will be preferred.

Now, talking, specifically, soon after Mourinho was linked, Juan Mata’’s future as a Devil was questioned a lot. Back in 2013, when Chelsea appointed Jose Mourinho for the second time, Juan Mata, who was named the club’s Player of the Year in both 2012 and 2013 fell down in the pecking order as the Portuguese preferred Oscar over the Spaniard. Mata was even warned that he would have to “adapt” the playing style of the Portuguese in order to get the first team action.

After having a lot of controversies, Juan was sold to Manchester United in 2014. The Spaniard defended himself by saying:

“If a luxury player is a player who scores and assists and has good stats, then I’m happy to be a luxury player.”

Now with Mourinho’s arrival at the Theatre of Dreams, many believe that the same would happen, and therefore, we will give you three perfect destination for Juan Mata:

  1. Everton-

Mata

The Merseyside club Everton has been chasing the 28-year-old Spaniard soon after the arrival of Ronald Koeman. It is understood that the newly appointed Dutch gaffer is confident of landing the former Valencia man to the Goodison Park. A bid of around £20m is reported to be paid by the Toffees to the Devils by ESPN and if that move is concluded, we’re pretty sure that Mata would play a great role for Everton next season.

To be perfectly honest, Juan Mata is a pure Spanish blood, who loves to create chances rather than going for goal all by himself. His vision and his abilities might do wonders with Lukaku (if he stays) or whosoever would play as a striker.

  1. Valencia-

There is nothing better than returning home. Juan Mata, who was released by Real Madrid signed for Valencia back in 2007. In his very first season, he made 33 appearances for the side and bagged 9 goals. He eventually became a first team regular for the side and also scored twice in the Copa del Rey semifinal match against FC Barcelona to help Valencia reach the final against Getafe CF where he netted the opener in a 3–1 win. During that first season, he was voted the team’s Best Young Player by fans and players alike.

During his 4 years of tenure with the club, he made 174 appearances and sadly due to the financial crisis, Valencia had to sell their star names like David Villa to Barcelona, David Silva to Manchester City and Juan Mata to Chelsea. Valencia won’t be playing in the Champions League, but we’re sure that Mata could help the side to revive their status in La Liga again.

  1. Juventus-

Many media houses across the globe, including ESPN have stated that the Italian champions Juventus are also looking to sign the Spaniard this summer, and we honestly think that the move might prove to be a pretty good choice for the player as well as the club.

With the alleged proposal of Paul Pogba’s departure from Turin, Mata could add another dimension to the Old Lady. Juventus are one of the biggest clubs in Europe right now, and the Spaniard could achieve great success with them as well and besides that, he could also feature in the Champions League every single year.
