3 Superstars Liverpool Can Target With The £200m Transfer Kitty Available In The Summer

Jurgen Klopp managed to end the summer transfer window at the start of the season with a positive net spend, and if Liverpool manage to move into the top-4, it will be a huge achievement in this cash-rich Premier League. But the Reds belong at the highest level and Klopp will know that he will need to add some proven quality to help them take the next step. This has seen him get linked with some of the biggest stars in Europe for a move in the summer.

And according to the Echo, the most trusted of sources in regards to the club, Jurgen Klopp will be given close to £200m to fix his squad. The frailties in the current squad need to be addressed. So who can Klopp spend such insane amount of money on? Here are three stellar names that Liverpool can target with their £200m this summer.

Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)

As insane as it might sound, Liverpool should make a move for Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez, who seems to be frustrated at Arsenal. The recent loss to Crystal Palace could be the nail in the coffin for the Gunners who might fail to qualify for the Champions League and if Liverpool achieves that feat, there is no reason why they should not spend big on the Chilean. He has 22 goals and 18 assists in all competitions this season and is available at around £60m and will be a mind-blowing addition to Liverpool’s attack.

James Rodriguez (Real Madrid)

Already linked with a move to Liverpool, Rodriguez is would be an outstanding signing for the Reds. The Colombian international has not been able to settle at the Bernabeu and is yet to cement a place in the starting XI under Zinedine Zidane. And with the manager planning further additions, the 25-year old may have no chance next season as well. So, he could be up for sale this summer and should be an option for Liverpool. He could only cost around £47m, but that will be a club record at Anfield so Klopp should not budge in trying to lure him to England this summer.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Because, why not? A war chest of £200m will be carefully spent on the entire squad but Klopp will know that they need a proven goal scorer next season and the Gabon international could be the perfect fit. Having already worked under Klopp, Aubameyang could be tempted for a reunion, even as he suggested that he is only going to leave the Iduna Park for the Bernabeu. The Spanish giants may yet swoop for him in the summer but Liverpool should definitely try their hand at landing the 27-year at the end of the season. He is a top-class striker, who will have no trouble adjusting to the challenges at Anfield and could turn Liverpool into genuine title contenders next season.
