2. Nigel de Jong:
The former Manchester City man was one of Van Gaal’s key players when he was managing the Dutch national side and was linked with the club, as per previous news. Though he is 31 at the moment, age is just a number for the United boss, who has already signed Bastian Schweinsteiger in the summer transfer window.
De Jong is currently with AC Milan, who are struggling at the moment and if the need does arise to sign another defensive midfielder, he could be the man to turn to for Van Gaal in the near future.
1. Radja Nainggolan:
The 27 year old Roma midfielder is quite a tough lad and could surely add some much needed strength to the United side, possibly making them capable of winning titles soon. The Belgian international was wanted by a host of clubs on previous occasions including the Red Devils as per claims, though a deal did not happen and he did not leave the Serie A giants back then.
He can surely make a major difference to the Dutch manager’s side, if United look to sign him. The chance to play in the Premier League is quite tempting to most players and it will be interesting to see if a move goes through or not.
