3 Liverpool Youngsters Who Can Develop Massively Under Klopp This Season

Liverpool’s Academy has produced some exciting talents over the years gone by. The likes of Steven Gerrard, Raheem Sterling, and Jon Flanagan are just a few examples. Some of Liverpool’s current U21 and U18 players are highly talented and under proper guidance, can become very good players. And by proper guidance, I mean Jurgen Klopp. During his time at Borussia Dortmund, Klopp developed many youngsters into world class players. Mario Gotze, Marco Reus and Robert Lewandowski are evidence to it. Some of Liverpool’s youngsters have all the qualities of becoming the best in the Premier League and under Klopp, they can improve massively next season.

Cameron Brannagan

The young English midfielder has impressed in almost all of his first team appearances for Liverpool. Brannagan is a technically gifted central midfielder and has all the tools of becoming a top Premier League player. He is also a versatile player and can play in many roles. He can thrive in a two-man as well as a three-man central midfield. Brannagan fulfills his defensive duties quite well and also propel attacks. Liverpool’s search for a central midfielder has been frustrating so far. Deals for Zielinski and Dahoud have not progressed. Brannagan can be a good option but for that he needs more game time under his belt and 2 seasons under Klopp will help him develop into a top Premier League player.

Sheyi Ojo

Sheyi Ojo is possibly Liverpool’s most physically prepared youngster. At 18, he has got loads of talent and confidence. His strong built makes him a very tough player to manage for opposition defenders. Ojo is a versatile attacking player and can play all along the forward line. He can play as a winger, as an attacking midfielder and as an auxillary striker. Sheyi Ojo’s versatility can be of great use for Klopp and one full season under the German will help Ojo develop massively. Ojo is a future prospect and at 18, he has his best years to come under Klopp.

Ryan Kent

Ryan Kent joined Liverpool at the age of 7 and has progressed through the ranks to become a regular member of the U21 squad. Ryan Kent is a direct and pacey winger. His pace helps him beat defenders easily. He is confident and does not hesitate in taking on defenders. He is equally capable with both his feet and troubles goalkeepers with strong shots from distance. Ryan Kent, under Klopp can develop into a more consistent and complete player. Under Klopp, he has a good chance of developing massively into a threatening winger.

There are many young, talented players in Liverpool’s Academy whom Klopp can develop into complete players. These players will get their chances under Klopp because he believes in developing big players rather than buying.
