3 Liverpool Players Who Could Flourish Under Klopp Next Season Including Brazilian Superstar

Klopp

Liverpool fans dream came true last season when the club decided to sack Brendan Rodgers and bring in the Mercurial Jurgen Klopp. He came and breathed new life into Anfield again. The German led the side to the League Cup and Europa League finals – but saw his side fail at the last hurdle with defeats against Manchester City and Sevilla respectively. There were also some terrific performances in the League, all enough to ensure that Liverpool fans look to the future with positivity. Last season was filled with highs and lows for the reds, who came up leaps and bounds but struggled to find any kind of consistency.

Jurgen Klopp will be looking to bring in new players to strengthen his squad further, so that they can launch a proper title challenge next season. What was heartening to see was the performance of players like Philippe Coutinho, Adam Lallana and Roberto Firmino. Throughout the campaign last year Klopp made sure that the players didn’t give up and kept on probing and pushing till the final whistle, the obvious ones being the comeback against Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal and Norwich City. Here are three who could flourish under Klopp next season.

Phillip Coutinho's goal made the difference for Liverpool

Philippe Coutinho

Liverpool’s player of the season. The Brazilian was at his brilliant best for the reds last season scoring 12 goals and making 6 assists during the campaign. He looks to be the only world class player Liverpool has who is capable of producing moments of magic. Many big clubs across Europe will be vying for Coutinho after seeing his development over the past year but one feels Klopp’s presence at Anfield my motivate him to stay with the Reds. Liverpool fans should be excited to see the combination of Firmino and Coutinho, especially if they manage to get into full flow next season, it could mean trouble for the other teams.

Adam Lallana

Adam Lallana

Lallana arrived at Liverpool with much fan fare but endured a disappointing first season under Rodgers. However with the arrival Jurgen Klopp, the English player witnessed a revival in his form and went on to become one of most influential players in the team last season. His immense work ethic and skill on the ball makes him a constant threat in and around the goal area. If he can carry on improving at the same rate, it won’t be long before we see Lallana’s name being mentioned amongst the top players of the world.

Roberto Firmino

Roberto Firmino

Firmino took some time settling into the team after Brendan Rodgers secured his services last summer, however after a string of impressive performances after Christmas, he established himself as one of the first names on Klopp’s team sheet. He was deployed in different roles throughout the campaign but 10 league goals in 31 appearances signify a decent return in the given circumstances. If he can manage to keep himself fit next season and get more games under his belt than the Liverpool forward could play a big role in the coming season. He has already shown the fans what he is capable of but now more will be expected of him.
