Three Liverpool Players To Watch Out For In The International Break

With the international friendlies fast approaching, players are aiming to up their game and guide their sides to victories leading to the World Cup. For a club such as that of Liverpool’s standards, one expects most of their players to be a part of their respective national side.

While some blockbuster games are just a few days away, the Reds outlet will be confident of their players providing the goods, as the entire team has been in breathtaking form since the turn of the year. Most importantly, Mo Salah and co. have been playing as a team, all of them clicking at the same time and working together.

Here are the three Liverpool players to watch out for in the international friendlies.

Mohamed Salah

Undoubtedly, Mohamed Salah is a player to look out for. He is already the backbone for Egypt and without a doubt, the Liverpool forward will be aiming to fire on all cylinders against Portugal and Greece. Salah not only attacks from the wider right-wing position but also makes his way into the box and performs as a disguised No. 9.

He has exceptional dribbling abilities, owing to a low centre of gravity, and a delightful change of pace. One can again expect Salah to be amongst the goals.

Virgil Van Dijk

Solid and applicative, Virgil Van Dijk is expected to be a vital cog in Holland’s back line. He will be up against menacing sides such as England and Portugal, who are both capable of beating defences. Van Dijk will play in the heart of the defence and use his strength to shrug players away.

He is always switched on, alert and aware. The Liverpool centre-half wins almost everything in the air, tackles accurately, covers ground quickly and keeps it tight while marking his opponents. Also to mention, he is a real threat getting forward during set-pieces.

Roberto Firmino

Firmino’s cleverness will be key to Brazil’s success in the friendlies and probably in the World Cup too. It will be interesting to see where he is deployed in the system under Bacchi. Without any doubt, one should expect Firmino to offer his 101%, run down various channels, draw defenders out, link up the play, switch between either wing and display his exquisite finishing abilities.

He is an intelligent footballer who is undoubtedly having the season of his life. Hence, the matches featuring Brazil will be no short of fireworks if Roberto Firmino takes the field.
