3 Key Battles (West Brom vs. Chelsea): Brunt vs. Hazard And More

Having wrapped up the title, Chelsea have little to do till the end of the season. Their next opponents West Bromwich Albion also have nothing much to do in the last two games, one thing is for sure, the atmosphere would be hopefully fun at the Hawthorns as Chelsea could give out a few players a run out who do not feature for the club as much.

Chelsea will probably miss out on Diego Costa due to injury and this could be a chance for Loic Remy to shine and show what he can do. West Brom will hope their striker Saido Berahino gets to click, West Brom drew with Newcastle in the last game and Tony Pulis will be looking to another shock as they had beaten Manchester United a couple of weeks earlier. There will be quite a few battles out there and we look at the 3 key battles that could decide the fate of this game.

Brunt vs. Hazard

Hazard

Two talented wingers, well one is obviously better than the other, Eden Hazard has had a special season for the Blues and will be looking to finishing the season on a high and hopefully add a few more goals and assists to his name before the end of the season. Chris Brunt at one point was one of the best attackers in the Premier League but that was a few years ago, he still is one of the most hard working players out there and maybe he could provide tough opposition in the winger department and outshine Hazard in the game.

Fletcher vs. Mikel

One left a big club and the other could be leaving one, Darren Fletcher joined West Bromwich Albion in the January transfer window after a successful spell at Manchester United, he hasn’t really done much for West Brom but he could be an important player for them next season. Jon Obi Mikel could be playing his final few games for Chelsea and this battle will be intriguing as both players give it their all and neither of them will back down from a challenge, the season might be over but the battles keep on commencing.

Anichebe vs. Remy

Two strikers who aren’t known for their goal scoring prowess, Loic Remy and Victor Anichebe might not be the goal scoring phenomenon but they surely are going to give more than 100% when out there on the pitch. The pair will be looking to give their manager’s a good headache by putting in a good performance and hopefully play a bigger role for their club next season. Remy will be hoping he can do just that and prove to Jose Mourinho that he can step up when Costa is injured.
