All Italian Affair: These 3 Italian Stars Could Be Perfect For Chelsea

Having lost just three games this season, Antonio Conte’s Chelsea are currently the hot favorites to lift the Premier League title this season and the manager will be happy with the way things are going in his first season in England. Conte will know that the squad at Chelsea is not the strongest and he will look to add some star players to his squad in the off-season. Having spent most of his life close to the Serie A, he will know a lot of stars that could improve the squad at the Bridge and Conte might look for some Italian players to add his squad in the summer.

Three Italian stars who could move to Chelsea at the end of the season

Marco Verratti (PSG):

Though not playing in the Serie A, Verratti is one of the best midfielders in Europe at the moment. He has been the first choice for Unai Emery at Parc de Princes this season. But he has been linked with an exit recently, with the likes of Barcelona interested in his signature. At 24, he will only get better as years pass by and Conte is also tracking him for a move this summer. He is reportedly valued at €80m and will be an expensive buy but a midfield of Kante and Verratti can make Chelsea impossible to beat.

Andrea Belotti (Torino):

Another superstar in the making in Italy, Belotti is 2 goals short of standing as the top goalscorer in the domestic league in Italy. Having played at the U19, U20 and U21 levels previously, Belotti has now established himself as the first-choice striker for club and country and is in top form this season. Chelsea, who are looking for a backup for Diego Costa, were extensively linked with a move for the 23-year old but were not able to lure him away from the Stadio Olimpico, midway through the season. The Italian outfit are now ready to accept offers close to £86m, Chelsea are reportedly looking at him for a move in the summer. Though expensive, he’d fit in well with the system at the club and can also turn into the first choice at the Bridge if Costa decides to quit.

Federico Bernardeschi(Fiorentina):

Another star who has been making headlines in Serie A this season is Italian winger Bernardeschi. The 23-year old has established himself as the first choice on the flank for Paulo Sousa, having spent his teenage as an academy graduate at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. He has 13 goals in 63 appearances for the Serie A for his side and has also won 7 caps for the national side. He has played at every level for Italy and has already worked under Antonio Conte. Chelsea have been extensively linked with a £38m move for the winger in the summer and with his attributes, he could be a decent addition to the squad at the Bridge.
