3 Ideal Premier League destinations for this £30m Championship star including Rafa’s Newcastle

According to reports, Championship outfit Aston Villa have slapped a £30million price tag on midfielder Jack Grealish.

Villa face a difficult task of retaining Grealish’s services after failing to achieve promotion to the Premier League. However, due to the club’s mounting financial problems, they could be forced to sell one of their prized assets. Grealish remains the Midlands club’s best option of raising quick money as they scramble to abide by the Financial Fair Play rules.

The 22-year-old certainly did everything he could to get Villa back to the Premier League. He was inarguably Villa’s best player in their play-off final defeat to Fulham last month.

After Villa’s evaluation for Grealish, here are three Premier League clubs who should look to sign the 22-year-old midfielder this summer.

Newcastle United

As per reports, Newcastle United are monitoring the situation of Grealish at Aston Villa. The Magpies often looked toothless going forward in the past campaign and Benitez must bring in a creative and inventive playmaker.

Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez

Grealish could be that creative force for them as his dynamism in the middle of the park and goal-creating abilities would surely help Newcastle next season.

Given what Newcastle have spent in the last few transfer windows, it would come as a massive surprise if Benitez is able to persuade Mike Ashley to meet Villa’s asking price for Grealish.

Leicester City

Grealish is reportedly attracting a lot of interest from Leicester City. As per reports, the Foxes have put the Aston Villa ace on their list of potential targets as they prepare for life without winger Riyad Mahrez, who is nearing a move to Manchester City.

Grealish flourished at Villa last season, contributing three goals and five assists in 27 Championship appearances despite suffering from a nasty injury.

Now, the 22-year-old midfielder must take the next big step in his career and the chance of moving to Leicester would be a great opportunity for him. At the King Power Stadium, Grealish could act as the link between the central midfielders and the striker.

Southampton put up a solid battle to stay in the Premier League over the past season. Defensively, the team looked all over the place and they also lacked the cutting edge to slice past teams on a regular basis.

A player in the mould of Grealish would work wonders for the Saints. The 22-year-old ace would add a lot of bite and creativity to the Southampton midfield. His energetic presence in the middle of the park would allow the forwards greater freedom to express themselves.

Hence, Southampton should try and do everything they can to sign Grealish from Aston Villa this summer.
