3 Ideal Destinations For This Liverpool Flop To Continue His Playing Career

Mario Balotelli joined A.C Milan on loan from Liverpool last season with the hope of getting some game time and regaining his form after spending a very unsuccessful season at Liverpool. But neither did he get proper game time nor could he regain his form at the Italian club. He played only 20 matches for A.C Milan in the Serie A and scored just 1 goal and registered 1 assist. He was in A.C Milan’s starting eleven for their last two league outings, giving rise to rumors that the club would sign him on a permanent basis. But the club president, Silvio Berlusconi has said that A.C Milan have rejected a permanent move. Balotelli has clearly stated that he does not want to join Liverpool again and so he will have to look for new owners. Here are three possible clubs and leagues that Balotelli could join during this transfer season.

1.) Crotone (Serie A)

Crotone finished second in the Serie B this season and have secured a place in the Serie A alongside Cagliari. The newly promoted club have relied on loan signings in the past and have welcomed players from clubs like Roma, Juventus, Inter Milan and Fiorentina. But for their first ever season in Serie A, they are looking to sign a marquee name and this could be Baalotelli. With Crotone president Raffaele Vrenna telling Sky Sports Italia this week that he wants to sign a “big player”, Balotelli’s move to Crotone is questionable, but his poor form and also the fact that he has squandered opportunities at bigger clubs, he will have to set lower sights this summer.

2.) Chinese Super League

Clubs who play in the Chinese Super League have spent a lot in buying foreign players over the past few seasons. With Mario Balotelli available, we can expect any of the top Chinese clubs to make a move for him this season. A move to the Chinese Super League could well be the move that Balotelli was waiting for. He will not only get a proper game time, but will also be paid well. Even the top Chinese clubs were on high alert after reports suggested that AC Milan will not sign Balotelli on a permanent basis. So an offer from the Chinese league could well be on the cards for Balotelli.

3.) Premier League return for Balotelli

A lot of things have changed since Balotelli joined A.C Milan on loan from Liverpool last season. With a lot of managerial changes, things are expected to change in the Premier League. New managers will look to bring in new players for their clubs. Antonio Conte will be Chelsea’s first team coach and he is expected to add some Italian flavour to the Premier League. Balotelli could very much return to the Premier League to have his form back. It will not be a surprise if he gets offers from any of the Premier League clubs this summer. He is a talented player, but has been unable to utilize this talent over the past 2-3 seasons. A move to the Premier League would mean some competitive football for Balotelli and he would surely enjoy it.
