3 Ideal destinations for Tottenham’s midfield magician to consider including Everton

Mousa Dembele has not only been a loyal servant for Tottenham Hotspur but he has also established himself as a key player for Spurs

Over the course of the last season, he partnered exceptionally well with Eric Dier at the heart of the midfield and the duo worked hard to maintain consistency and quality. Going forward, it goes without saying that Spurs will need a player of his calibre but there is the issue of his contract.

His current deal will expire next summer, and according to a report by The Telegraph, the player is on the lookout for a three-year extension. However, Tottenham have cultivated a team of young players over the years and they might not be willing to offer a long-term deal to Dembele.

Dembele is not getting any younger as the Belgium international will turn 31 years old next month. And if he indeed decides to leave the north London club, here are the three ideal destinations for him.

The Toffees are in for numerous changes under new manager Marco Silva. There will be several key additions to their squad in the ongoing transfer window and their midfield is in dire need of reinforcements. And surely an experienced and skilled player such as Dembele would work wonders for the club. He is an out-and-out team player and is arguably one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League, thus making him a great choice for the Merseyside outfit.

Dembele has been linked with a move to Juventus and it could benefit him to a great extent. He has enjoyed brilliant times with Tottenham in the Premier League but now, it might be time for him to test pastures anew. And moving to Juventus would certainly help him do that. They are a force to reckon with in Italy and in Europe. In fact, Dembele might get to lift a trophy or two with the Italian champions in the seasons to come.

The Chinese Super League is proving to be a popular destination among footballers these days and Dembele could be the latest one to jump ship. Given his array of knowledge, skills and experience, the Belgian would be big fish in a small pond. Thus, a move to China could prove to be highly beneficial for the former Fulham man.
