3 Fantasy Premier League Tips for gameweek 27 including Riyad Mahrez alternatives

Fantasy Premier League Tips – Gameweek 27

A gruelling round of Premier League fixtures is around the corner and the expectations are right up there, especially when the North London derby is a day away. The weekend kicks off at Wembley during lunch time. To provide a Friday forecast, PL fans must know that some edge of the seat thrillers are sure to come by during the goal rush.

Everton take on Crystal Palace, Stoke City host the in-form Seagulls, a resurgent Swansea play the Clarets and two inconsistent sides, West Ham and Watford face off at London. Saturday ends with league leaders hosting a peppy Leicester City side. On Super Sunday, Manchester United and Liverpool travel to Newcastle and Southampton respectively. To put an icing on the cake, the gameweek will end at the home of the champions, where Chelsea host West Bromwich Albion on Monday.

To consider the Fantasy Premier League strategies, one could expect some unsung heroes to step up in the big games. Of course, every side must have a Manchester City attacker, De Gea in goal and well, Mohamed Salah in their sides. But, what could give the FPL managers an upper hand that would bring them above the average points?

Here are three FPL tips for the weekend:

Replacement For Riyad Mahrez?

Riyad Mahrez certainly looked like he was back to his blazing best when he helped Leicester climb all the way to the top half. But all of a sudden, an interest from Manchester City arose as they looked to replace the injured Leroy Sané. Now that he is uncertain to play, a replacement is much needed in the midfield.

To start off, his price is £8.6m. Son Heung-Min at £8.1m is an absolute steal if his finishing ability, distance shooting and craftsmanship are taken into account. Another replacement could be Aaron Ramsey, who looks rejuvenated in the advanced midfield role. If one has some bucks in their account in advance, they could invest in Raheem Sterling, who comes at £9.1m.

Best Fourth/Fifth Midfielder?

Often, FPL managers tend to give it a real whack for the big budget midfielders and miss out on depth and the option to play bench boost. The first and obvious choice would be Pascal Groß, who has been instrumental with his passing, shooting and threading the attack together.

He costs £5.8m. Elsewhere, to spot some rising stars in the FPL, one should consider buying Gerard Deulofeu, who set the tone on his return to the league. Other reasonable buys could be Richarlison, Izquierdo, Demarai Gray and Ilkay Gundogan.

Best Striking Options?

Here, we shall look at the fixtures. Do not go for a Chelsea striker due to heartbreaking fixtures coming up. Elsewhere, Romelu Lukaku hasn’t been providing the goals every single game. So, it would be best to go with a low budget striker apart from a heavyweight like Agüero or Kane. Some in-form forwards include Callum Wilson, Jay Rodriguez and Roberto Firmino. Arsenal do have fine fixtures, which means the animated Aubameyang can be an option as well.
