If you can’t get the man, go for his brother, right? And it wouldn’t be a consolation prize, as the Belgian has really developed into a strong and very complete offensive player during this past two years at Borussia Monchengladbach.
Even if Thorgan prefers to be on the center of the offence and not near the touchline like his brother, he’s also a very versatile player with a great eye for the game, and pairing him with Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be just scary.
Xherdan Shaqiri
We all know how talented this Swiss lad is, as he shown to be a great prospect from his Bayern Munich days several seasons ago. However, he had to move out of Germany to finally reach his peak and even if he’s struggled with a couple of injuries, sky seems to be the limit for the 25-year-old.
He also has the versatility to play on several spots in offence, and that’s one of the reasons why their biggest rivals; Liverpool, tried to sign him before he completed his move to the Potters. Having said that, it would feel even better to sign him now, knowing that the Reds also wanted him at a time.
