3 Cut Price, Yet Effective Deals Liverpool Could Pull Off On The Deadline Day

With Christian Benteke set to leave Liverpool for Crystal Palace, Jurgen Klopp would be getting a lot of funds to spend on a few players at least. The Reds do need to fix a couple of areas in the side and Klopp has to really find a replacement for Alberto Moreno after the Spaniard’s horror show yet again at the Emirates.

Liverpool, if they get the right players in the side could challenge for the title and with the transfer window coming to a close pretty soon, here are three players the Reds can sign on deadline day and set the team up for glory this season.

Ben Chilwell

Alberto Moreno has been horrible for Liverpool for more than a season and Klopp has to find a replacement for the former Sevilla star. While the German manager has stated that he has full trust in the young Spaniard, another player could be on his way to the Reds, should they make the right bid for him.

Ben Chilwell has been a target for many Premier League sides but has still stayed put at the champions but a lack of football could be a reason why Chilwell could switch to the Merseyside club. The English youngster would be a cheap alternative and he has a lot of potential as well, something that would work well for the Reds in the long run as well.

Jonas Hector

If Liverpool are to skip Chilwell, they could try to sign another player and that is Jonas Hector. The German left-back had a decent Euro 2016 campaign and even though he is not the best in the world, he too is quality and is certainly a better bet than Moreno in the defensive third.

Hector is 26 at the moment but he could be willing to make a switch from Koln thanks to Jurgen Klopp’s links in the Bundesliga. The German left-back could work well in tandem with Joel Matip as well, another signing from the Bundesliga and certainly concede fewer goals than the ones Moreno has cost the side.

Martin Odegaard

The Real Madrid midfielder has had a horrid time at the club and has barely made a name for himself since moving to the club. The 17-year-old could do well if he is loaned out, something that many media outlets have suggested.

Liverpool do not have a lot of quality when it comes to the centre of midfield and bringing the Norwegian wouldn’t mind working under Klopp if he is to grow as a footballer. His chances at Real Madrid would be really limited, especially with all the competition in the side and a move to the Reds would also be a win-win situation for the club as they look to make a move for the title this season.
