3 Bundesliga Stars Who Could Follow Xhaka To Arsenal

It’s like the officials and management of Arsenal FC have suddenly woken up this summer and are looking to finally spend big on signing more than just one marque player, as Arsene Wenger now looks to win some major titles soon. The French manager was criticized a lot prior to the start of the previous campaign, as he failed to sign a single outfield player and ended up winning nothing at all, as the season went by.

Now, it seems that Wenger will try to make amends for that, as he has already added Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach and is targeting a host of more stars, including a world-class striker and a defender.

With the Euros coming up, a lot of talented youngsters could attract attention from various top clubs across Europe and here are three players from the Bundesliga which I feel the Gunners’ boss should bring to the Emirates this summer:

3. Pierre Emerick Aubameyang:

The Borussia Dortmund striker might be looking for a move to the Bernabeu in the near future as per recent reports, though it is still not certain that the La Liga giants can offer him regular playing time on their side. After dismissing the possibility of a move to Ligue 1 champs, Paris Saint-Germain, the north London outfit and their fierce rivals Manchester United might still try their best to make a move for the Gabon international, as both Premier League giants are desperate to add a well renowned goal scorer. Aubameyang scored 27 goals in 31 games this season and will surely be a handy player to have at any club.

2. Medhi Benatia:

Wenger is in need of signing yet another center-back, as he looks to find a new and improved partner for Laurent Koscielny. The idea is to strengthen the squad, with Per Mertesacker aging and looking quite slow and Gabriel Paulista not being up to the mark yet. The Brazilian has been decent at the Emirates so far, but has not really impressed enough to get a regular place in the starting eleven. There has been a rotation between the tall German and the former Villarreal man, which has made things a bit complicated at times. The solution would be to add yet another quality center-back, who can be a regular partner for the France international and the 29 year old Bayern Munich man, Medhi Benatia, totally fits the bill. There have been speculations going around that the Londoners would make an offer to sign the Morocco international, though nothing is certain yet.

1. Henrikh Mkhitaryan:

The best option for the Gunners to sign would be signing the Armenian international Henrikh Mkhitaryan. The attacking midfielder/winger has been termed at times one of the best players currently in the Bundesliga, with reports confirming various clubs across Europe looking to add him to their squad. The 27 year old superstar will not be cheap and it is expected that Arsenal might have to pay a fee of around £23m for him.
