Why This 29-year Old Colombian Will Be A Perfect Signing For West Ham

It seems like Slaven Bilic and West Ham United are planning something big. The 2016-17 season of Barclays Premier League will be a boom as many world class managers will be arriving to manage their respective clubs. Transfer window will be opening on the 1st of July, but many clubs have already started their search in the market.

Arsenal have signed Granit Xhaka, Leicester have recently announced Robert-Ron Zieler, Manchester City welcomed Ilkay Gundogan and so on. West Ham didn’t have the conclusion of 2015-16 season as they would have expected, but they still qualified for the UEFA Europa League. As the league will be getting stronger, Slaven Bilic will have to strengthen his squad, he will have to add more numbers who could help the side to succeed in the premier league as well as the Europa League.

Well, there are many departments in the current West Ham squad that needs to be enhanced and to compete in Europe; the Croatian manager will need some experienced players to guide the side. Well, West ham has been linked to many players and very recently, their attempt to sign Bouremouth’s duo Callum Wilson and Matt Ritchie was cut short as the Cherries rejected their audacious bid. Besides that, according to Skysports, West Ham United are leading the race to sign French defender Samuel Umtiti. West Ham also tried to sign Lyon’s forward Alexandre Lacazette, but their attempt was rejected by the French side.

Now, it is heavily reported that the Hammers are chasing AC Milan’s striker Carlos Bacca and their initial bid of €20m was rejected. West Ham’s Co-owner David Sullivan has recently revealed that they are all set to spend £25m-£30m in order to get a top class striker, and it won’t be a surprise if we see West Ham going once more for the Columbian striker.

Carlos Bacca made his name all by himself and caught the eyes of many European giants when he scored 28 goals in all competition for Sevilla in 2014-15 season. Some say that the 29-year-old Columbian has already past his golden period, but Bacca proved himself yet again as he netted 18 goals for Milan last season.

Buying Bacca is nothing more than a gamble, but it is as worth as the risk the Hammers took to sign Dimitri Payet. Let’s not consider Bacca a 20-goal-a-year striker, but playing alongside Lanzini and Payet might reinforce his striking abilities and the Columbian can easily bag 15 goals in the Premier League itself.

Bacca is surely worth taking a risk because West Ham needs a striking pair as they cannot rely on Andy Carroll because let’s face it, he spends more time out on the sidelines due to injuries than playing. Bacca is a tough and a pure center forward who can easily haunt the opposition with his strength and techniques. Being a South-American blood, Bacca has a natural eye for the goal as well as his trickery can easily out power defenders in the Premier League. He is always aware on the pitch and never looks dizzy. Bacca is a player who can single handedly help the team to reach up to the top 4 and he has already done this at Sevilla.

Bacca has incredible stamina and is capable of playing every single game in the league as well as in Europe. During his time in Sevilla, he played 55 games in a single season, including La Liga and Europa League. Besides that, being a Europa League winner, he has all the experience of Europe and can help the squad to reach the paramount.

Well, I guess I’ve given you enough reason for why West Ham should go for Bacca once again.
