Shakthar Donetsk has confirmed that they are in talks with Chelsea about Alex Teixeira in a deal worth £30m. Chelsea wants the deal to be signed this winter transfer period because the player will become costly during the summer.
The player has scored 26 goals in 26 games and has caught the eyes of the European giants. Chelsea are currently struggling to break down other teams in Premier League and will want to add more attacking power in their team.
Shakhtar Manager Lucescu has mentioned that the Brazilian is worth more than £29m currently and if he continues with this form he will be worth more than £35 by the end of the season. He also mentioned that if the player was playing in a bigger league his transfer price would be in the range of that of Di Maria.
Earlier Mourinho had said that he is not looking for a January transfer because he “does not deserve it”. But after the confirmation from the Ukrainian club looks like Chelsea are moving ahead with the plan. Only question is, “Will Mourinho be there in the plan?”
