Why This 23-year Old Liverpool Superstar Is A Perfect Fit For PSG – Sorry Kopites!

Liverpool are expected to get a huge offer from PSG for their creative play-maker Philippe Coutinho. According to reports, PSG find Philippe Coutinho as the perfect alternative for Eden Hazard. With Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s transfer almost imminent, the French club are keen on signing a marquee player this summer and Philippe Coutinho tops their transfer target list.

Coutinho joined Liverpool from Inter Milan during the January transfer window of the 2012-13 season. Since then he has become Liverpool’s most regular first team player. Coutinho is known for his dribbling skills, link-up play and long range goals. The Brazilian is a Liverpool fan-favourite and has been nicknamed ‘Little Magician’ by the fans and his teammates for his creativity on the field. Coutinho’s Liverpool career so far has been excellent scoring 28 goals in 145 matches. He has shown that his worth is more than the 8.5 million euros for which Liverpool signed him.

Coutinho is the sort of player every team would want. His performances for Liverpool have drawn attention from Europe’s biggest clubs and big-spenders PSG are highly interested in adding the Brazilian to their already big squad of marquee players.

PSG’s style of play is prominently based on attacking through the middle, playing through balls, link-up play and creating goal scoring chances through individual skill. Coutinho plays as a central attacking midfielder or sometimes as a left winger, and his individual skill is beyond any doubt. Also, PSG create a lot of long shot opportunities and Coutinho has shown over the seasons that his long rangers are more than efficient. The goal that he scored against Stoke City at the beginning of last season is a perfect example. He cuts in from the left flank, finds a yard of space and shoots towards the corner.

PSG’s game-play also includes quick counter attacks. Coutinho has shown that he is excellent at counter attacks. His pace, dribbling skills and quick short passes are very threatening during counter attacks. Coutinho plays excellent through balls and it has been one of PSG’s most prominent features.

Coutinho could be a very good signing for PSG as his style of play is similar to PSG’s. PSG are expected to line up a big bid for Coutinho, but Liverpool will be adamant to keep the Brazilian at Anfield. Jurgen Klopp would wish to keep Coutinho at Liverpool with all his future plans dependent on the creative midfielder. Coutinho recently gave a statement saying that he missed winning trophies and that has given a huge boost to PSG. So we can expect a big offer from PSG this summer.
