21 goals, 12 assists – Tottenham signing this in-form Dutch league star would make them title favourites next season

Tottenham opinion: Should Spurs make a move for Hirving Lozano?

Tottenham somehow managed to make it to the Champions League final and they did it without spending any money over the last two transfer windows.

Somehow, the North London side pushed and fought for a place amongst the final two sides in the Champions League. They will now face Liverpool in the final, which makes it a very interesting tie.

However, despite their achievements, the North Londoners cannot continue the same way going forward. The Premier League is clearly becoming much tougher and if Tottenham ever want to win a league title, then they need new additions.

Additions could possibly include a new right-back, a new forward to help out and a proper replacement for Mousa Dembele. The sale of Dembele marked the end of any title challenge Spurs had for this season and also saw them drop out of the top three sides in the league.

For a club like Tottenham, they cannot continue like this. They need trophies to keep the likes of Christian Eriksen, Harry Kane, Dele Alli and even Davinson Sanchez at the club.

But that cannot happen without new additions and English news outlet Football London has reported that they’re keen on a move for Hirving Lozano.

The young forward has had a phenomenal season with PSV Eindhoven. So far, the 23-year-old has managed to net 21 goals and has created 12 in all competitions this season.

That is a step up from his performances last season, with Lozano finishing with 19 goals and 11 assists, which shows just how much he has improved.

Unlike most of the World Cup players, Hirving Lozano has continued on in the same fashion. He made an incredible impact for Mexico in Russia and proved to an incredible attacking presence for his country. More importantly, Lozano is a forward, who has been built to attack.

The Mexican combines pace, power and spatial awareness brilliantly, finding spaces that shouldn’t otherwise exist. It’s at that moment, that Chucky Lozano really flourishes, weaving his way between defenders before finding himself one-on-one.

That kind of dribbling ability, composure and sheer clinical nature in front of goal makes him perfect for Tottenham. Alongside Lucas Moura and Heung-Min Son, the three forwards could wreak havoc in the Premier League.

Conclusion

Tottenham have a future ahead of them and that needs to be nurtured by manager Mauricio Pochettino next season. With the right additions here and there, the club will have a team good enough to maybe challenge for the Premier League title.
