2012 – EPL Ends With A Bang For The Top Guns And Dog Fight At The Bottom Gets Even Harder !!!

Share

Well 2012 ended with an awesome bang for all top clubs but dog fight at the bottom just got harder , Class,Quality and clinical in their finishing the top guns were in top form and were ruthless to listless opposition . In the bottom teams are lackluster , non-cohesive and some have thrown in the towel already . Lets have quick review of the results……

Gonners Shooting in all guns !!!

Aresnal 7 NewCastle 3

Well Arsenal & Walcott were in some mood at the Emirates , Slotting away goals for fun and knocking down Toon army to bits . Facts are Newcastle defense and Mid Field are just not up to mark , Arsenal pounced on hapless “wee” team from North East and made them pay. Will the result save Walcott in Gooner Colours ? well that’s up to Wenger .

Fortress called Old Trafford  & RVP “Goal Machine”:

MAN UTD 2 WBA 0

RVP what a signing , The best striker in EPL by far for Calendar year 2012 . West Brom were deflated the moment Gary Mcauley scored past Foster , Red Devils were in hot form and Foster was in no giving mood but RVP strike sank the Baggies. Wonderful to see Vidic back and he did command the back line , Organisation of defense made simpler by Serb and RED DEVILS finally got their Clean sheet . Sir Alex enjoying his 71st Birthday with comforts of 7 points .

Carrow Road and Battling Spirit of Citizens :

Norwich 3 Man City 4

Roberto Mancini has a lot to take from Carrow Road , The never give up spirit of 10 men in blue and Dzeko knocking goals for fun . After the slip @ the Stadium of light , Mancini needed some spark to keep the title battle alive and his men stood up tall . Norwich themselves were tough nuts to crack , Man United and Arsenal stumbled already to Canaries but City had to much fire power to be shut down . Transfer window is open and Mancini must have Xmas list of stars he wants @ the Etihad.

Chelsea Successful Run and Super Hero called “Lampard”:

Everton 1 Chelsea 2

Victories for an away team @ Goodison park is rarity, last time toffees lost there was March 2012 Benitez return to Merseyside on victorious note was all thanks to Super Frank , Wearing the captain’s armband and leading from front were hall marks of Lampard . It will be foolish to let go of him just when things are beginning to look rosy for Rafa . BA seems a done deal for Chelsea and they may just be more than title pretenders .

Spurs super away form and Diving Bale :

Sunderland 1 Tottenham 2

Spurs are flying high currently , Hard fought victory @ Stadium of light symbolizes AVB’s men never give up attitude . At times Spurs have looked the best team for 4th spot and super run of  form over festive period symbolizes hunger to stay ahead of arch rivals Arsenal and other contenders for top 4 . The only down side for Spurs is they need more people to score goals , Bale will be suspended for New Year and Adebayor has been shadow of himself . Needs some strikers over January Window I guess.

Liverpool back to winning ways against listless QPR :

QPR 0 LiverPool 3

Suarez and co ran riot to group of individual who have already thrown in on White Flag , People with fat salaries are waiting to jump ship in January @ Loftus road . The hoops hardly put in challenge that symbolizes their fighting spirit .Harry may feel he is fighting loosing battle with current lot and may need to bring in changes that shelves more than 3/4th of current squad . Suarez was on top form and didnt spare any loose balls in first 20 minutes , Being 3 nil up within 28 minutes gave Liverpool enough cushion to shut up shop second half.

Wigan posting rare away victory @ Villa Park :

Aston Villa 0 Wigan 3

15 goals conceded  in 3 games shows the tatters the midland club is , Paul Lambert needs funds and some top flight battlers to keep the club afloat , Currently they are falling like a stone to Championship and their dream victory @ Anfield seems like long while back .Wigan having patchy run and rare away victory from Latics in an emphatic manner was a nice way to end hard 2012.

Swans flying high @ Cravan Cottage as Fulham lands themselves in Relegation mere:

Michu was not missed , Swans have enough players to steal the show as Guzman sealed another stellar victory away from Liberty . For Cottagers Ruiz and Berbatov seems like the only few who could trouble , the sudden dip of form and hard home losses are impacting Jol’s men. Might need to bring in a few more folks of vigor and caliber in January window and shelve a few players who are past their “sell by date”.

Amazing Come back by Potters :

Stoke 3 Southampton 3

Amazing strike from Jerome sealed an amazing come back by 10 man Stoke , Saints might rue the lead slippage but they seem to have far better quality and fighting spirit than fellow strugglers , Having played game less with 17 points hardly reflects their toils . Saints must add few more battlers to ensure safety and more 1 – nil victories.

Finally Royals post a WIN

Reading 1 West Ham 0

Well Big Sam might complain he hardly has his best XI but Royals fought hard post Pogrebnyak goal , Mission impossible may seem possible with few more recruits for Brian McDermott . West Ham to must look to hold on to Diame who has been revelation for them , They need to look for Europa league spot and play quality football .

There caps review for last round of fixture for 2012 , Lots of high flyers and lot of lows. 2013 will be another exciting year with twists and tuns expected in the Best League in the World.
