20-year Old German Midfielder Diminishes Liverpool Hope Of Signing Him

Liverpool hoped to sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud this summer but that is turning out to be a more difficult task than initially expected.

The 20 year old is wanted by Jurgen Klopp to revamp his midfield and Liverpool are even willing to pay over £25 million for the gifted youngster. However the current club of Dahoud, Borussia Monchengladbach has already sold several key players and are reluctant to let more players leave in the summer. The club has recently let go of Granit Xhaka and Havard Nordveit.

Dahoud is a German U-21 international and has attracted interest from several clubs other than Liverpool. Another notable name vying for his signature is Borussia Dortmund who have decided to sell Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Manchester United. With such interest from bigger clubs the player is reluctant to renew his contract at Gladbach which will expire in 2018.
