2 players who could be sold by Everton this summer including 23-year-old with no appearances this season

Two Players Who Could Be Sold By Everton This Summer

Everton were hugely expected to put up a strong fight for the Premier League top six, at the start of this season. Following a rather impressive season under Ronald Koeman last term, the Toffees went through a massive squad overhaul, splashing big money last summer.

However, as we gear up for the final phase of this season, the Merseyside giants are currently lagging behind their Premier League rivals, with just 34 points on board. Their awful start to the season led to the sacking of head coach Ronaldo Koeman whilst also bringing a lack of identity.

Although new coach Sam Allardyce has somehow managed to make amends, he’d be looking to some changes to his squad this summer.

In this article, we will talk about two players who are destined to leave the Goodison Park in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Davy Klaassen

One of the most hyped transfer acquisitions last summer, Davy Klaassen’s move to Goodison Park brought huge optimism among the Everton faithful.

However, nearly eight months after his move to Everton, the Dutchman has failed to make any kind of impact in the Premier League this season.

The former Ajax captain has managed more minutes in the Europa League than the Premier League this season. His tally of only four appearances in the English top flight is clearly unacceptable for a player of his calibre.

Klaassen was hugely linked with a move elsewhere this January, with Fenerbahce showing some interest, but the move never materialised. That being said, however, the 25-year-old will once again have the opportunity to leave the Goodison Park this summer, as he hopes to rebuild his career next season.

But make no mistake, the Dutch international is clearly destined to depart Everton this summer.

Shani Tarashaj

Another Everton outcast this season, Shani Tarashaj’s return to the Premier League, after a loan spell with Eintracht Frankfurt last season, has clearly not panned out the way he had expected.

The Swiss youngster is yet to feature in any competition this season, with Sam Allardyce and formerly, Ronald Koeman, both being reluctant to try their luck with the 23-year-old centre-forward.

His hopes of making an impact in the Bundesliga last term, with Eintracht Frankfurt, were also completely shattered due to a meniscus tear which kept him out for 22 matches. Considering how he has been completely overlooked by Everton this season, Shani Tarashaj will definitely be looking for pastures new in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Swiss forward could be an interesting addition to any Championship outfit.
